Professional Journey

For most of my career in India, I worked with Alian Software as a Senior Business Analyst. When I moved to Canada, I lost track of my career and was in need of a job. After a long break, I decided to enter into my industry again, but with new skills and a professional certification. I started my career in the IT sector in the year 2002. I pursued a master’s in Computer Application before starting my career in the IT sector. I have been in this industry for more than 20 years now. During this tenure, I have taken up multiple job roles. However, I faced problems getting a job during the IT recession in 2002.

Taking Time to Upskill During Recovery

I was unemployed for some time due to severe health issues, which created a gap in my professional career and made me fall behind. During this time, I was also unemployed. Therefore, I decided to upskill, so I opted for the Post Graduate Program In Business Analysis from Purdue University and Simplilearn.

I got my first job immediately after the class but stayed there for only two months. Then I looked for another job for two months and got the one I have now. I think it was challenging since I ended up talking to three or four recruiters per week. Despite all these leads, it still took me two months to find this job.
