I am an IT professional who works as a shop floor support specialist at Chamberlain Group in Sonora, Mexico. I decided to upskill with Simplilearn’s ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification Training Course because he needed the ITIL certification to get promoted. Eventually, I got that promotion along with a 30 percent salary hike. My experience was rewarding, and I have recommended Simplilearn to my colleagues.
Long-term, I’d like to be my own boss and grow my IT support business, which I run with my wife. Although it is currently pretty small, the skills I acquired from Simplilearn will help me grow the business.
Gaining ITIL Certification
I have worked in the IT industry for 15 years, and I’m currently the shop floor support specialist for the Chamberlain Group, a company that manufactures motors. I am the support specialist for all of the company’s production computers. This job required me to get an ITIL certification, leading me to Simplilearn. I studied IT engineering, and I passed in 2010. At first, I was working on my own business in the mechanical field, but I couldn’t continue that. Currently, I own another small business which I run with my wife while doing my job, in which we provide IT technical support. I perform the technical side while my wife manages the administrative work.
