I am Carlos Arteaga, a 22-year-old, currently residing in Brandon, Florida. A few years ago, I immigrated to the United States from Ecuador. Due to the language barrier, pursuing a college education in the US became challenging for me. To support myself, I worked various odd jobs at places like McDonald’s and Home Depot. Presently, I am employed as a warehouse worker at Amazon. Simultaneously, I am fortunate to be pursuing a remote internship in the field of Cyber Security at Chase, which has resulted in a 25% increase in my income. Once I complete my training and internship, I will be appointed as a Junior Cyber Security Analyst at Chase, with a 50% increase in my income.
Enrollment Decision and Career Goals:
I express my gratitude to Simplilearn for playing a pivotal role in enabling my successful transition into the IT industry, particularly within the domain of Cybersecurity. In today’s increasingly digital world, I recognize the significance of Cybersecurity and believe that a career in this field can offer stability regardless of the job market. That’s why I decided to enroll in Simplilearn’s Postgraduate program in Cybersecurity, offered in partnership with MIT SCC. The program provided me with an affordable way to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue my aspirations.
My experience with Simplilearn:
I hold Simplilearn in high regard, especially the expertise of their industry instructors who delivered the course material in an interactive manner. The program was well-structured, encompassing renowned programs and training such as EC council, CompTIA, and CISSP. The projects I worked on were engaging and further enhanced my learning experience. My long-term goal is to become a Senior Cyber Security Analyst and make valuable contributions to my employer in terms of cybersecurity. Outside of work, I find joy in regular workouts and reading books.
