Introduction
Throughout my career, I have been deeply passionate about helping students shape their futures—whether in grade school, high school, or the workforce. My journey began in teaching and program director roles, where I worked closely with students and educators to create meaningful learning experiences. Seeking to make a broader impact, I transitioned into education consulting, where I could influence educational programs on a national scale. Along the way, I had the privilege of working with remarkable leaders who not only shaped my professional growth but also enabled me to assist administrators in developing innovative alternative programs that cater to diverse learning needs.
Reason to Upskill
As a lifelong learner and problem-solver, I started noticing critical gaps in the EdTech and Instructional Services industries. I saw opportunities to improve digital products and virtual services offered to schools and organizations, but without formal training, I found it challenging to transition into roles that required a blend of business strategy, market intelligence, and product development expertise. While hands-on experience helped me develop practical skills, I realized I needed structured learning to bridge silos and create holistic strategies that drive innovation. Given my busy schedule and financial constraints, pursuing another degree wasn’t an option. Instead, I sought a hands-on, industry-relevant program that would provide me with the tools to immediately apply my skills across various sectors. This led me to Simplilearn’s program in collaboration with UC San Diego, which offered exposure to industries beyond education, including banking, tech, security, data analysis, retail, and hospitality.
