I’m Michael Landon, currently the Director of Operations at Megatrax. My professional journey has allowed me to leverage my background as a developer, which has been a strong asset in focusing on data analysis and business operations. Over the years, I’ve transitioned more into data-driven work, which has sharpened my strategic thinking and enabled me to build effective partnerships within the organization. I take pride in my communication skills, which foster a collaborative environment across teams.
Academic Foundation and Leadership Development
My academic journey began at Fordham University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, graduating with a 3.6 GPA. I was fortunate to attend Fordham on a full-tuition scholarship and also explored subjects like Spanish and Economics. My time at Fordham provided a strong foundation for my leadership and research skills. I was the President of the Gannon Speech and Debate team, where I developed expertise in areas such as nuclear weapons and U.S. immigration law. My contributions were recognized by the university with a special award during my senior year.
Language Skills and Leadership Abilities
In addition to my academic achievements, I’m fluent in Spanish and can hold a conversation in French. I have a passion for learning and continuously building my leadership abilities. These skills have proven invaluable in my professional career, allowing me to adapt quickly to new challenges and contribute meaningfully to team dynamics.
Upskilling with AI and Machine Learning
Recently, I decided to further enhance my skill set by completing the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp at Caltech CTME, offered by Simplilearn. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, providing me with valuable exposure to AI and machine learning. After completing the program, I saw a 25% salary increase, a reflection of the course’s impact on my professional growth. Attending the campus module at Caltech was another highlight, where I had the chance to learn from professionals and interact with peers. Visiting the Caltech AI and Robotics laboratory and meeting Leonardo, the first humanoid walk-and-fly robot, was an inspiring experience.
