Hi, I’m Debarun Ghosh, a Site Reliability Engineer currently in Apprenticeship with ANZ in Bengaluru, India. Originally from Kolkata, my educational journey led me to Bangalore, where I completed my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at Reva University. During my studies, I discovered my passion for AI while doing an apprenticeship at Dom4U Pvt Ltd as an AI/ML Integration Engineer. That role sparked a curiosity in AI technologies, especially Generative AI, and motivated me to expand my knowledge. Recently, I completed the Applied Generative AI Specialization from Simplilearn in partnership with Purdue University, which has transformed my skill set and deepened my understanding of this emerging technology.
Decision to Upskill
My decision to pursue formal upskilling in Generative AI stemmed from a project that highlighted the potential of this technology. Though I was familiar with AI concepts, I realized that my knowledge in Generative AI was limited. I wanted to immerse myself in hands-on learning to understand it on a deeper level. Simplilearn’s reputation played a significant role in my decision—my father had a positive experience upskilling with them, which gave me confidence in their programs. This course felt like the perfect opportunity to gain practical skills and keep pace with the latest advancements in AI.
