Introduction
I’m Diogo Russo, a Senior UX/UI Designer at Billtrust, where I lead data-driven design projects, mentor fellow designers, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance user experiences in the B2B and digital payments sectors. My journey in design has taken me across the globe—I started in Rio, co-founded a design studio, and later pursued an MBA in Strategy Design at the California College of the Arts. Before joining Billtrust, I worked as a Senior Product Designer at Climate.com, where I helped farmers gain insights into their fields through innovative digital solutions.
Reason to Upskill
As a designer, I’ve always been passionate about creating meaningful and intuitive user experiences. However, I realized that to push the boundaries of innovation, I needed to bridge the gap between design and data science. The increasing role of AI and machine learning in product development inspired me to upskill and gain a deeper understanding of data-driven decision-making. By integrating these technologies into my work, I knew I could elevate the impact of my designs, ensuring they were not only aesthetically compelling but also intelligent and highly functional.
